Adult Chemical Dependency Service Director
Dr. Richardson has over 15 years of experience in medical management for family
practice, community health and institutional settings. He is currently the Adult
Chemical Dependency Service Director for Peachford Behavioral Health System. Dr.
Richardson is also an adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the Morehouse
School of Medicine and a part time Clinical Instructor at the University of
Tennessee Center for Health Sciences.
In addition to his work at Peachford Behavioral Health System, Dr. Richardson
serves as the Medical Director of The George W. Hartman Center in Cobb County,
Georgia and as a consultant for the National Football League.
Dr. Richardson received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee. He
continued his training with a residency in family practice at Howard University
and an internship at the City of Memphis Hospital. Dr. Richardson is board
certified in family practice and is also certified with the American Society of
Addiction Medicine, American Academy of Healthcare Providers in the Addictive
Disorders, Georgia Addiction Counselors Association and the National Acupuncture
Detoxification Association.
He is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, American Academy
of Providers in Addictive Disease, American Medical Association, Georgia
Addiction Counselors Association and the National Association of Alcohol and
Drug Counselors.
