Dr. Manning received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He went on to complete further training at South Carolina with an internship and residency in psychiatry.

Dr. Manning is a Distinguished Life Fellow, a member of the American Psychiatric Association, American College of Psychiatrists and American College of Physician Executives.
