Children's Services
The decision to hospitalize a child must be made carefully and only after less
restrictive alternatives have been considered and deemed inappropriate. The
first concern of our program is to provide a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic
environment for a child’s special needs.
Acute Care is a highly intensive program designed to provide
stabilization for a child in severe distress or exhibiting dangerous
behavior. Partial Hospitalization offers a less restrictive environment,
which allows a child to live at home while receiving comprehensive
treatment and maintaining a full-time school schedule. The Intensive
Outpatient Program meets 2 to 3 hours per day between 3 to 5 days per
week. Programs are available for children between the ages of 4and
12.When Outpatient Therapy is deemed to be the most effective course of
treatment, Peachford provides a variety of outpatient services as well
as a referral network to area health professionals. |
